Discrimination Policy
1. Stereotyping: Discrimination that is detrimental to a person or group that limits or denies a person or group opportunities based on religion, sex, colour, creed and bias.
2. Harassment: Behaviour towards students or teachers, based in whole or part on orientation or physical, mental, emotional learning disability
Harrassment: Behaviour towards students, teachers based in whole or part on orientation or physical. Mental, emotional learning disability or handicap or other basis prohibited under law or any other characteristic identified in the above which interferes with a student or school performance or creates hostile or offensive work environment
Disrimination and harrassment can arise from a broad range of physical or verbal behaviour which can include but is not limited to the following
A) physical or mental abuse
B) Racial ethnic or religious insults or slurs
C) Unwelcome sexual advances
D) Sexual comments jokes stories or inneundos
E) Display or sexual gestures with hand or other body movements
F) Asking personal questions about a student or teachers sexual life
These rules do not however prohibit CRDM from denying a school or dance teacher access based on objective standards or performance and needs
